Once this occurs, the fighting ceases completely, and Mewtwo's heart begins to change for the better. Near the end of the story, the climax gives off an intense feeling of empty sadness as a tragic battle drags our main character right in the crossfire, leading to an unfortunate event, of which I will not spoil.
He challenges them, and this begins what is evidently the rising action of the story, following long periods of ruthless battles between Pokemon and clones of them made by Mewtwo himself. Mewtwo speaks and tells them their relationships with their companion Pokemon is, in a basic sense, toxic. The context of Mewtwo's creation is important for later reference.Ĭut to years later in the story as we follow our main protagonists, whom are invited to a mysterious meeting hosted by what is vaguely titled as "the Pokemon master." The main characters accept the invitation and later arrive at the scene, where they, among many other characters, eventually come face to face with Mewtwo. This begins the introduction of the First Movie. Upon awakening, it resents humans upon discovering the method it was birthed, and destroyed its home laboratory. Pokemon: The First Movie tells the heartbreaking story of a Pokemon named Mewtwo, who was genetically created by science to be used by humans as a clone of another existing Pokemon. But I am going to look at this movie from the perspective of someone who doesn't know Pokemon well enough to judge it based on authenticity, so if you want to look for a genuine review from a movie standpoint, then keep reading. As a longterm fan of the Pokemon franchise, I've loved this movie ever since I first watched it years ago.
